Using A French Tip Design - We stamp On Sundays

Hi all, happy Sunday :]

This week's challenge over at Adventures In Stamping was to use a french tip design. I'm not a super-massive fan of french tip stamping, so I decided to cheat a tiny bit heh. I think one of the main reasons I don't like french tip stamping (the typical curved images) is that they kind of get distorted when you're following your nail line, also as full images on newer plates have got larger, so have the tip designs, and this means they look stupid as heck unless my nails are at a certain length, or I use them like I have done today.

I stamped the image from Bundle Monster BM 217 twice on my nails, starting with the tip, and then rotating the tip to try and help it fit. I messed up in a few places, and my index finger is smeared, but I was too easily distracted to re-do them :]
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: Color Club - Sweet Pea
Stamp Colour: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Tealy Fast
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM 217
Top Coat: Rimmel 60 Seconds - Clear
Here's what I used:

And here's the base colour: Color Club - Sweet Pea, such an easy formula on all these CC's this was two, easy coats, that leveled themselves out, and there was basically no clean up, and dry time was over before I realised! It looks slightly more dusky in the shade too.

I hope you've all had a good weekend!

Interview Nails - French Tip with Bundle Monster BM 10

Hey guys, happy Thursday!

Today's nails are a re-do of what I wore back in July for my interview. Originally I used Rimmel - French Rose and Konad White, but looking back at pictures last week I thought they were crap, so I decided to do it again, with one of my new favourite sheer polishes.

Essie - Muchi, Muchi is the kind of sheer pink polish I've always wanted. Quite sheer, but opaque in a couple of coats, and squishy looking. For some reason it seems more pink in all the swatches I've seen, but that could be my photos, and I did do thin coats.

So yeah; onto the mani:
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: Essie - Muchi, Muchi
Stamp Colour: Konad - Special White
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM 10
Top Coat: Rimmel 60 Seconds - Clear

Two coats of Muchi, Muchi, bottom picture is in direct sunlight. I think three coats would have it looking a little more pink.

Impala Disco - Sex Appeal & Black Stamping With BM 319

Hi all, happy Tuesday!

I'm actually surprised I even have a post for you guys today! I've been in some sort of reminiscing daydream state for the last two days or so, but I've already done more today than yesterday so that's good :]

Today I have some swatches, and some stamping. The stamping was actually a fail, so I stamped over it with another image, and didn't hate it too much, so you get to see :] Imapala Disco - Sex Appeal is such an amazing polish, stunning duochrome, that looks best over black as it intensifies the colour shift. Although it's very sheer on its own it has a really glow effect to it.
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: Rimmel - Black Satin
Layering Colour:  Impala Disco - Sex Appeal
Stamp Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM 319
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails

I think this was three coats
Below is one or two coats over black, the first picture is one, and the other two have two coats over Rimmel - Black Satin. So pretty!

What do you think about Sex Appeal then? I love the purple it shines from afar, or with flash.

Let Someone Else Choose The Plate - We Stamp On Sundays

Hi all! Happy Sunday!

This is going to be as quick as possible, as I've burned my finger this morning cooking Scott's breakfast and typing really hurts as it's right on the corner of my finger/nail/nail line lol.

So this week's challenge over at Adventures In Stamping was for someone else to pick the plate, or the image. Now, while I was going to do a new mani for this, I really don't want to put acetone near my finger! So I realised I had something from a couple of weeks back that Scott had actually picked for me ( I ask him to pick images quite a bit..and then barely use them :P lol) So I decided to use this mani. It's not something I'm overly in love with, but It was cute to wear, and I wanted an image that did show quite a lot of the holo-goodness.
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: Sally Hansen Nail Prisms - Diamond
Stamp Colour: Finaflor -Madri
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM 312
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
Overcast day, basically no light
Sunlight
Blurry flash to get the holo goodness
Artificial light
Okay, so I seriously need some tips on how to photograph holographic polishes! I had a hard time with this polish too, possibly because of the age of the polish, but it took forever to dry.

Because this is an old mani and I'm too lazy, there's no pictures of what I used, but you probably wont mind that too much!

Hope you're all having a good day!

Finaflor - Madri, Glitter & Stamping with Bundle Monster BM 306

Hi all! Happy Thursday!

Quick post from me today, as I write this it's Wednesday night, and all I want to do is sleep as Cheese (one of my cats) decided to wake me up last night, something like, every two hours. I've not been a very productive bunny today!

Finaflor - Madri is another polish that came to me from the lovely Susana of Blog do Verniz Amarelo it's such a strange deep purple, that looks kind of like chocolate at times, it's hard to describe. It's got such an awesome formula too, one coat was full coverage, but two deepened the colour. I really want to try this for stamping, and see what kind of colour it shows as.
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: Finaflor - Madri
Glitter: Etos Nail Effects - 03-04
Stamping Colour: NYC - Foil'er Up
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM 306
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
Best colour shot of this :]
Better shot of the glitter

That's all for today! Hope you liked these :]

Essence Nail Colour3 - Ticket To The Show, Front Row Or Backstage & Gold Lighting Bolts With BM 305

Hi all! Today I have a delicious combo for you, Essence Nal Colour3, Ticket To The Show, with a Layer of Front Row Or Backstage and some stamping.

First up is the finished mani:
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: Essence Nail Colour3 - Ticket To The Show
Layering Colour: Front Row Or Backstage (on all nails except ring finger)
Stamping Colour: Barry M - Gold Foil
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM 305
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails

Now onto the swatches. Ticket to the show is so beautiful, a very rich black with rainbow shimmer, and it's a one coater! I used two coats for the swatches, but that's just habit! It was quite hard for me to capture the rainbow with the overcast day we were having in the UK :(

Here's a swatch shot of Ticket To The Show, with one coat Front Row Or Backstage? I love how chocolatey and warm this looks. Something I'll seriously be wearing again soon.

Hope you're all having a good Tuesday!

Leafy - We Stamp On Sunday

Hi all! Happy Sunday! I'm having such a lazy weekend, I really need to edit some photos so I've got something ready for this weeks posts but I just can't concentrate :P

This week's challenge over at Adventures In Stamping was for a Leafy manicure. This is kind of what I was planning from the beginning, but I wish I had used a different leaf image, and maybe chosen different stamping polishes too.

Edit: I used this method for the multi coloured stamping. To see other times I've used this method click here.
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: Essie - Ballet Slippers
Stamping Colours: Manhattan - Lemonade
Manhattan - Green Piece
Essence - Kiss On Top Of The Rock
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM 05
Top Coat: Rimmel 60 Seconds - Clear

Here's some swatches of the base colour, and what I used:

Hope you all liked them :] I think my favourite nail is my ring finger.

My Flakie Collection Swatched, Golden Rose Scale Effects & Nubar 2010

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a good Thursday!

Today we have some swatches of my flakie collection, just because I love flakies and I want to share pretty pictures! Four of these came to me via Ingie over at fyeahilovenails when I won her giveaway, even though there was only one flakie up for grabs; she sent me four cause she's a sweetheart like that!

These are all just one coat over black and white.
1) Golden Rose Scale Effects - 13
2) Golden Rose Scale Effects - 04
3) Golden Rose Scale Effects - 03
4) Golden Rose Scale Effects - 02
5) Nubar - 2010 - G188

Firstly, just one coat of flakie magic, no top coat
This is the flakie polish I chose to receive from Ingie as I've always wanted a blue/green flakie. Such a beauty!

Next up with top coat. I think it was a W7 top coat but I can't remember.
It's much harder to see the flakies over white in general, but is easier to see in the shade.

And last but not least the Matte versions, using Rimmel - Matte Finish
You can see here that number 3 has gives a slight orange tint to the white base.

So which is your favourite out of the bunch? Mine is still number 2 (Golden Rose Scale Effects - 04).

Sally Hansen Insta-dri Quick Brick Swatch

Hey all!

Little post today, just a couple of pictures of Sally Hansen Insta-dri Quick brick. I think this is actually the only red I've ever fully swooned over. It's so juicy, and so vibrant and shimmery, and is great for stamping over paler colours. To see where I've used it click here :]

Above is two coats, no top coat, and below is with a top coat, so the juiciness is really exposed, and the colour is probably more accurate below too.

That's all for today! =]

Toxic Or Poisonous - We Stamp On Sundays

Hi all! Happy Sunday! I'm back for Adventures In Stamping Sunday challenge, I'm still a little sad about not partaking in last weeks challenge, mainly as it's caused a gap in my running streak! However, when I saw the vote for this week's challenge, I was so excited and inspired by 'Toxic or Poisonous' that I did my nails as soon as I seen the possible options and just hoped that it was going to win :D

I really wanted to do a glitter jelly sandwich with a neon on top to make it toxic looking, and was going to use a green, but then I came across this yellow first :D Originally I wanted to stamp an apple in red, but I found out I had no apple image, and remembered I didn't buy a Konad Red, and Quick Brick didn't really work over the glitter. So I went with the only other image I wanted to use, the mushroom on Bundle Monster BM 302. On to the pics!
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: Essence Nail Colour3 - A Walk In The Park
Jelly Colour: YSSY - Not Named
Stamp Colour: Konad Special White
Red: Nail Art Pen
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM 302
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced - Hard As Nails

I seriously adored wearing these (even though the mushrooms are backwards), but as I've been putting this post together and glancing at thumbnails these really remind me of poker, like a poker table or something :P

Here's a swatch of the base Essence - A Walk In the Park, then with Essence Twins Glitter Topper - Clyde, and I thought I had a shot of YSSY over it before top coat and stamping, but I can't find one!

Trust me when I say these square glitter pieces are awesome, they shine on the nail like in the bottle, anddd a little bit of holographic shows through the coat of YSSY neon yellow.

Here's what I used:

I love how evil the outlined bunny on that plate looks :P

Well I hope everyone has had a good weekend so far, I am going to spend my Sunday evening trying to play catch up on my reading list (yet again). I'm constantly 5 days behind, and that needs to change!
